Gyroscope Explorer allows you to visualize your devices gyroscope sensor. It is intended for developers, educators and students to get a quick idea of how a gyroscope works. All gyroscopes “drift” as errors in the orientation measurements add up over time. The performance of your specific device’s gyroscope many vary dramatically from very good to terrible due to manufacturer specific hardware and software. To some extent, “drift” can be compensated by using acceleration and magnetic sensor fusions.
Gyroscope Explorer offers two flavors of sensor fusions:
-> Complimentary Filter sensor fusion is on by default
-> Kalman Filter sensor fusion is optional
Despite the sensor fusions are imperfect and you may see some very strange results!
